About Wizbang

At Wizbang,  we love hats. We love to play. We believe in the power of laughter, the strength of our bodies, the spirit of our enthusiasm and the company of each other. We want our accessories to express these aspects of ourselves and so lives Wizbang. 

We are located in Bozeman, Montana, a mecca for skiiers, hikers, boaters and outdoor lovers of all kinds. Our hats are playful, bold, colorful and tough, just like Wizbang women. Wizbang gear is designed to let you get outside while making a bit of a statement about who you are. We hear from Wizbang women that they just might just go a little faster, work a little harder and try something a little tougher when they're wearing their Wizbang hats.

We love to support the communities locally and globally. There are so many people doing great things for others and we want to help do the same. We especially love to support organizations that support women battling cancer, women's and kiddo causes as well as those aiming to keep our beautiful places beautiful. If you'd like to request a donation or our involvement, shoot us an email and we'll work to find a way to do it.

Kim Scurry is the new owner of Wizbang hats and she's thrilled to be part of the Wizbang story. Maybe it was that epic month-long camping trip of 2011 with the whole family that led Kim to want to do something more fun with her professsional life. Buying Wizbang was simply meant to be and so far it hardly feels like work at all!  Kim and her family love Bozeman, skiing, canoeing, biking, hot tubs, tortilla chips and just hanging out together. Originally from Connecticut, Kim's been doing marketing and operations for a long time in Bozeman, Montana.

		Growing up ski racing and coaching, founder Liz McRae wanted a unique hat to wear after a day of training. In 1998, she began sewing hats for herself and eventually gave in to the multiple requests from fellow mountain girls for hats of their own. Now a mom herself, Liz created a line of hats that appeal to mountain girls (all grown up!) and their babies, urban runners, cyclists, boaters, fisherwomen, cancer survivors, and free-spirited fashionistas from all walks of life.
		Paige Kaptuch grew up ski racing in Vermont but now spends her time running around the trails of Salt Lake City with her new baby daughter in tow. She reps for several women's active wear lines.
